Solus II, solo viyola için iki bölümlük bir eserdir. Solus serisinin ikinci parçası olarak, yalnızlığın başka bir yüzünü — bu kez eşikte ve yerçekiminde — araştırır.
I – Soglia (Eşik)
Açılış bölümü bir geçiş alanıdır. Henüz içeride değil, henüz dışarıda da değil. Viyola, ince çizgiler, kısa duraklamalar ve yavaş açılan jestlerle bu eşiği yoklar. Ses, bir kapının iki yanında salınır gibi ilerler.
II – Gravità (Yerçekimi)
İkinci bölüm aşağıya çeker. Daha ağır tınılar, daha uzun yaylar, daha yoğun bir çekim. Yalnızlık burada uçucu bir hâl olmaktan çıkar; ağırlaşır, yerleşir, neredeyse fiziksel bir kuvvet haline gelir. Eser bu çekimin içinde kapanır.
Solus II is a two-movement work for solo viola. As the second piece in the Solus series, it explores another face of solitude — this time at the threshold and under gravity.
I – Soglia (Threshold)
The opening movement is a space of passage. Not yet inside, not yet outside. The viola probes this threshold with thin lines, brief pauses and slowly opening gestures. The sound advances as if oscillating on either side of a door.
II – Gravità (Gravity)
The second movement pulls downward. Heavier timbres, longer bows, a denser attraction. Here solitude ceases to be a fleeting state; it grows weighty, settles, becomes almost a physical force. The work closes within this pull.
